Happy New Year!

The New Year came a day earlier at Bocaue, Bulacan. A fire consumed about 10 lines of stores which sold fireworks. Almost every a week early before the new year, these accidents happen. Let's all just take a lesson from this.

Well, it's 2008 tomorrow, people. New Year's Resolutions and make sure that you'll follow them! :)

Have a HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone! ^^

The World's Many Problems

Funny how a person's mind works.

When I receive group messages from a number of people, which I might add, immature and purely out of place group messages, I immediately stop whatever I'm doing and sit in one corner, trying to make the mature half of my brain to work. I often ask myself why people these days are being so worked up with their problems. Let's just wait until they get white strands of hair while thinking of their problems as fast as a cheetah runs after its prey.

Christmas is the time for celebrating, for bringing smiles to other people's faces. And look at those messages, they all emit a gloomy aura. Just for once, I wish that 'these' people would stop being so self-centered and trapped in their small box of life-is-so-cruel issues. Put an end to being a selfish person. You're only condensing hours, days or maybe months of your life, battering yourself with unthinkable plots to shorten it more.

I thought people would live with much ease around this time rather than before but I guess I was wrong. We learn more about things, discover facts about numerous mysteries, find our inner selves and we are open to new but very critical risks. Being engulfed in your own misery is dodgy. Contradict this statement, I shall badger you with mocking laughs. Hahaha. XD

And like what some messages I have read, to others, the meanings those messages hide are an expression of emotions (which some may think as a mature matter) but to me, it's immaturity (Hey, this is purely my opinion). They're simply overdoing it. Sure, it's nice to get close to yourself alone for some time to reflect upon your troubles in life however, you should know the limits and do not go overboard. Magnifying your dilemma is daft. It isn't going to help you in any way possible. Stop being problematic, time will pass and eventually, everything will fall into the right places. Have faith. God is above us, watching our every step. He did not give us life to end it! He gave us a life to fulfill our dreams and feel contentment. Life can only be given to us once so start living a life with an optimistic attitude. Write a book, do something worthwhile, hone your talents and love those who are dear to you.

Now, tackling those who are dim-witted enough to deem about wanting to die already (as in right now), bring to a standstill all your ideas of suicide or anything close to that. Bring to mind that you are simply being selfish. Do you even consider the fact that the people close to you would experience a great loss if you were gone? And don't go saying something along these lines, "They won't even miss me because I'm a good-for-nothing twit." Everyone, every individual in this world is special. And most importantly, everybody has a right to love and to be loved. But again, if you contradict that, yes, I quite agree, you are a good-for-nothing twit. :) Haha, just kidding. ^^

To be plain, I really don't have the right to tell people off about their problems, it's their own decision to make, not mine. But really, if you don't listen to your friends who are truly concerned about you, it's time to CHANGE, change for the better. And don't carry the world alone in your shoulders, everyone has problems, big or small, it's a part of life, you cannot remove that. So now, stop sending a volley of stupid ideas into your head and live a life that you should have started a long time ago.

P.S. The last sentence seems to be.. all wrong.. I should rephrase that..Hm.. Nah. It's the thought that counts...But the thought is not clear.. Oh well, papel. :)

Xmas Party

I had fun in our Christmas Party yesterday. We had an opening program pa. Hahaha, and I had to tell the corniest of jokes. Kakahiya. Hahaha. I want to thank everyone who gave me presents. :333

Kahapon kasi, after the party, Athena, Kring, Pat and I went to Timesquare. We planned on watching Fred Claus. Angganda grabe.Naramdaman ko na ang Christmas. At may isang part dun na naluha ako (come to think of it, I cried in lots of parts in the movie), nung sabi ni Fred.. Um, these are not the exact lines pero parang ganito ang naaalaa ko. Hehe,.

"The rule says that every child in the world gets a toy. It doesn't matter what the gift is, as long as someone was thinking of them."

Parang ganun yata..Hehehe.I'll never forget that movie, XD

Now for my THANKS. :)

Thanks to Michelle who gave me a cute accessory; to Say who gave me a bookmark, drawing book with a pencil and eraser to go with it; to Christelle who gave me a cute singing frog xD; to Athena who gave me a plate with the words "Best friend- Arli-Tena" on it; to Syao-kun who gave me Clow Cards from CCS XDDD; to Girah who gave me a cute Tweety accessory; to Krishelle who gave me a "Pishy" figurine XDDD; to Cha who gave me a drawing book XDDD; to Kate who gave me a butterfly accessory and a greeting card and to Miko who gave me a set of paintbrushes. XDDD

A big THANKS to you guys. I really really appreciate those gifts you have given to me for Christmas. Like what Fred Claus said, it doesnt matter kung anong gift ang natanggap, what's important is, there was someone thinking of you for Christmas XD I'm really glad for having great friends like you! Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Hay lab yu ol! Hahaha XDDD

Haaay, yung feeling ng nagbibigay ka, it's great. It is better to give than to receive. WAH! I love Fred Claus! Hahaa. XDD

CHRISTMAS IS HERE.

"It's better to give than to receive."

The very popuar giving policy, ah yes. That line is always heard during the yuletide season but is it really true? For some people, yes but come on, who doesn't like receiving tons of gifts? Hahaha XD

Earlier ago, I started wrapping the gifts I will give to my friends and it was pretty brave of me to face the gift wrappers, tape and scissors all by myself. I'm not much of an expert in gift-wrapping, you see. By 4:30, finally, I have accomplished all 22 presents! Man, my fingers were terribly screaming, "Tama na! Tama na!"

Hahaha, see ya for more updates! :D

Dreams to Weave

I always dream about what my future will become. I always wanted to be this and that but never have I dreamt about being a doctor or a teacher. I'm scared of becoming a doctor because well, I'm not really good friends with laboratory apparatuses and medical terms. And why not a teacher, you ask? I don't want to be in the same room or even have a nice and quiet negotiation with crazy students. And never will I be an adviser! Hahaha XD

Now, let's talk about what I really want to accomplish in life.

1. Hollywood actress- "Alam ko, masyado akong ambisyosa. XD"
2. Famous author- "Mula pagkabata. :)"
3. A great director- "OO, talaga OO!"
4. A journalist- "Yep but there are too many risks to take. Pero ayus lang."

Why do I want to be an actress? Because, I love to act! I may not join too much in class in role playing but come on, I act all day long that the lessons are absolutely interesting. Hahaha, joke lang ha.. xD See? I'm acting! XD I want to star in movie with Johnny Depp, Dan Radcliffe or Rupert Grint. Hahaha. I don't want any lead roles, I always see myself as a co-star. XP I also want to star in Disney comedy shows like The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Haha. AND I WANT TO BE AN EXTRA IN the last Harry Potter movie! Hahaha xD

Alas, an author. Now that's a job for me. Since 3rd Grade, I've already been writing. I started with Pokemon definitions, then Journalism then stories. I LOVE WRITING SOOOO MUCH! Kaya nga pag nagpapasulat ng sulatin or essay si Ma'am Domingo and Ma'am Daduya, "YAY!!!" samantalang yung iba kong kaklase, naririnig ko sila, "Pagawa.." Hahaha! XD

See those trailers before the feature presentation in Timesquare. I want to do those things. Not only trailers, but blockbuster movies! I don't really know where this 'I-want-to-direct-movies' mania started from but I love it. :D

I have been a campus journalist for six years already and I know what the risks are when you want to enter the field of Journalism. Once you trigger a small fight through what you write, who knows what will happen next. But the job of a journalist is to tell the truth, show everyone what's happening and I'm not afraid to take the plunge. XD

Lastly, a famous animator! I love to draw anime and I think I have enough experiences. Hehehe! XD Ako na rin ang magdudub. XDDD

Play me Some Music!

My Dad just came home from abroad! Aweee, welcome back Daddddddyyy!!! :D
My Dad gave me my late birthday present...dundundun..A black electric guitar! Ay lav et! Hahaha xDD

So last night, pinatugtog ko yung Just the Girl sa dad ko. I think that it was the first time he heard that song pero when he played it, kuhang-kuha nya kaagad! The chorus..the intro, basta lahat! He played it smoothly! Bilib na bilib ako! Hahaha. Hehehe.

So now, medyo nakukuha ko na ang Just the Girl. I would have mastered it earlier kung hindi lang dahil sa mga minor na yan!! Hahahaa! XDDDD

Xmas shopping bukas!!! Aweee..hehehe! XD

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO EVERYONE!!! Have a great Xmas vacation. Let's all reflect upon what he have gone through this 2007. And let us sing with God's glory in this yuletide season. :)

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

EDIT
My art site is now open!!! Hahaha. Bisita kayo ne? Go [here]. Thank you! :D

They Always Made Me Curious

"The His Dark Materials Trilogy is one of my all-time favorite books.. I loved them all."-Arli(that's me! haha!)

Back in my second year, I finished reading the His Dark Materials Trilogy by Philip Pullman. The installment was recommended to me by my cousins, Ate Ling and Ate Nina. They said it was worth reading so I ended up buying the three books.

I got so engrossed in the first book (The Golden Compass) so the minute I shut it close, "Ah! Nasan yung Subtle Knife ko?!" I was at the edge of my seat craving for the next one. And so, di ko mapigilan, tinapos ko na agad lahat.

Now, let's talk about the trilogy. They all revolved about Lyra, Will, Lord Asriel, Mrs. Coulter, daemons, the Magisterium and the Authority, etc. Yes, I'm a devoted Catholic and this kind of book was one of those kinds which.. kind of manipulate a person's belief in religion. But it's up to the person naman if he'll let himself get easily swallowed by fictional stories. I loved the plot, everything, but of course, ficion lang yun. Bat ako maniniwala diba?

Try to read the books. You'll love them. They'll make you think and probably get you inspired to write your own stories.

I mean, kasi, in the story, there are millions, probably billions, of parallel worlds. And the world where the story revolves is a place where everyone had a daemon. Their daemons are their souls but in the form of an animal.

So, when a child reaches adolescence, his daemon will have a permanent form.

Err, basta. It's so hard to explain. The very idea is there but it's too vast for a kid like me to elaborate any further. hahaha!

Oh well.. This got me going on the Book World again.. Magbabasa nga ako mamaya.. hmm.. :)

Features or Sports?

For the past six years, I always thought that Newswriting was where I'll be stuck with for my last year in the writing business. But when the moment that my name want't called for the top 10 finalists for Newswriting in the DSPC, I can't waste my last year for another failure.

So, last November, Ma'am Daduya offered me the Features Writing slot since Ate Chai would be in college next year. I always wanted to participate in Features Writing but I don't know if I'll be as good as the 'masters'. Hahaha! xD

However, everyone has their own styles so maybe I'll try harder in FW just in case I won't be able to enter the top three in Copyreading next year.

In my elementary days, my Mom always said that Newswriting wasn't my calling. 'Copyreading at Sports ang linya mo eh, di ka dapat linalaban sa News!'

Well, now I proved that she's right. Copyreading nga ako. :)

For the second time, will she be right? Sports or Features? Waaaah.. Hahahah.. xD

Kakamiss rspc.. :((
